Prof. Dr. Ulrich Steger (71) will retire from his position as Vice-Dean of the Bucerius Master of Law and Business effective August 31, 2015.

Professor Steger brought to the MLB Program a rich background in government, academics, and business.  His academic publications have been translated into some 17 languages.

“Professor Ulrich Steger came to the MLB Program with a truly unique range of experience,” states Dr. Hariolf Wenzler, CEO of Bucerius Law School.  “His career has been extraordinary diverse, both geographically and in terms of subject matter.  This career gives him a singular perspective on international business and legal issues, a perspective that fit in perfectly with the MLB Program.”

During his tenure at the Bucerius Law School, Professor Steger influenced significantly the development of the MLB curriculum.  The introduction of Interdisciplinary, overarching end-of-module exercises and an emphasis on the development of leadership and management skills are just two examples of the immediate impact that Professor Steger had on the MLB Program.

“This impact will continue in the future,” states Professor Clifford Larsen, Dean of the MLB Program.  “Over the next several years, we will continue to implement and expand on Professor Steger’s innovations.  These innovations benefit the students greatly, both as part of their academic training and in preparing them for leading positions in the business and legal worlds.”

The administration, faculty, staff and students of the Bucerius Law School wish Professor Steger all the best for his personal and professional future.
