"The Law of Delict in South Africa" by James Linscott et al

James Linscott, the current Anglo-American Lecturer in the Bucerius Law School Foreign Language Communication Programme, was involved in updating The Law of Delict in South Africa (Oxford, 2017) for its third edition. James researched and updated the content for seven chapters of the textbook, and also produced ancillary learning materials (questions, model answers and PowerPoint slides) for the entirety of it. The textbook is widely prescribed for students of delict (torts) in South Africa.  

James has an MA LLB from the University of Natal and an LLM from Cambridge. He formerly lectured at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, where he taught the law of delict and jurisprudence. He has published scholarly research on the law of delict. He completed an LLM at St John’s College, Cambridge as a Commonwealth Scholar.
He is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and practised law for several years at a corporate law firm in Johannesburg.
